A Visit from the Donohues

A Gorgeous Day of Skiing with Jim and Suzy Donohue

We had a wonderful lunch at Averill’s at the Roundhouse with Tim Silva, an old business friend of Jim’s. Sun Valley is so lucky to have such a capable man so dedicated to Sun Valley.

Thanks to the great teaching of Jim and super support of Tony and Suzy.I am no longer terrified to be on the mountain after a few accidents and a broken collarbone.  Now can I remember… shoulders down hill, hands waist high, weight on lower ski, complete turns and RELAX! hmmm

Nothing is more fun than the Full Moon Dinner at Galena.

Hello 2012

I am learning Word Press. And why not? I arrived in Sun Valley on January 4, found the house in wonderful shape with Christmas wreaths on the door and twinkling lights in the trees. We had a fab dinner at Vintage with the Raneys to celebrate Tony’s birthday and SIX years in Sun Valley. The next day we got things up and running in the house (wireless internet and heat!) and had a wonderful lunch with Alisdair Neale the conductor of the SV Summer Symphony. He is also the conductor at the Marin Symphony. Like everyone else we meet here, he is so talented, in love with Sun Valley and open to meeting new people. Just an extraordinary part of Sun Valley.

We  took Tuqui to check out Harriman Trail but we needed a pass for us and for her and we needed to have on our skate skis! Okay, off to Hulen Meadows for a quick romp for all of us. Whoops, I slipped on the ice and boom! I fell on my elbow. I can’t understand WHY! I had on my new boots – Whoops, again… they are not meant for ice and snow! Darn. Elbow very sore! Kinda good news because all I really wanted to do was learn to blog on Word Press in 2012. I am now hosted by GoDaddy. Okay, I am a geek, not really an athlete. I just play along because I like my husband and friends so much!

One of our favorite activities in Sun Valley is to go to Magic Lantern. We saw Hugo! So wonderful! I understood it better than Tinker Tailor…
